Abstract: Are you looking to provide language students with the latest, most cutting-edge tools for both self-study and immersive learning? Join us for an exciting session on how generative AI and AI avatars can revolutionize the learning experience for language students. We will explore innovative ways that students can use generative AI to aid in self-study, including automatically generating sentence flashcards, interlinear texts for extensive reading, and using ChatGPT's voice mode for situational conversation practice. Additionally, discover how AI-created videos and avatars can create engaging, real-world learning experiences. We'll demonstrate how combining tools like 360° images with AI avatars can build an immersive language learning environment. By the end of this session, you will have gained practical insight into how to leverage AI to support language learning both inside and outside the classroom. Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your approach to language teaching.
